PROOFING "SNAKE VINE"

We're finally pretty sure of our colors for the new "SNAKE VINE" woodcut… should have a first proof of the print to show as early as later today!

THE ELEMENTS: AIR'S WINDMILL

The windmill centerpiece for the element "Air"! This block will print in the midst of this wind texture. Part of a developing set of 4 woodcut prints about the Elements ~ Air - Earth - Water - Fire.

Need to take more photos of all of the color blocks in progress, but today we're watching football and canning our reddest garden tomatoes. Happy Sunday!

POSTER #2 for THE DECEMBERISTS

Tugboat Printshop has been commissioned by The Decemberists to create another woodblock show poster for their 2011 tour! Did you see the first one we made? Above is an in-progress pic of the key block for the new print. The finished key block will be printed in a color (not black) with a few other color blocks to make a full blast, star-bursting rendition of the constellation Sagittarius. Expect more razzle dazzle! Print will be 18" x 12" bleed. We'll be posting more progress shots as work progresses…soon!
